DDC chairs DLRCC meeting at Pulwama

PULWAMA: District Level Review Cum Consultative Committee (DLRCC) meeting was held here at District Administrative Complex Pulwama today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Lone. Among others, the meeting was attended by District Level Bank Managers of various Banks, Representatives of Reserve Bank of India, State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank besides other concerned Banks and the District Level Officers of allied departments. Lead Bank Manager informed that against the financial target of Rs. 342 crores and fiscal target 15003 beneficiaries under priority sector, the Banks have disbursed Rs. 255.92 crores to 21418 beneficiaries upto last quarter of previous financial year. It was given out that under Agriculture and Horticulture sectors including KCC Scheme, banks have disbursed Rs. 199.58 crores to 19500 beneficiaries against the annual target of Rs. 236 crores and fiscal target of 59000 beneficiaries. Under small enterprises Banks have disbursed Rs. 45.78 crores to 1782 beneficiaries against the annual target of Rs. 94.77 crores to 4767 beneficiaries. The meeting was also informed that under Micro Credit Sector Rs. 4.34 crores were disbursed among 654 beneficiaries against the annual target of Rs. 5.2 crores to 533 beneficiaries, while under education sector during the period Rs. 2.35 crores were disbursed among 323 beneficiaries for seeking higher education. Under the housing sector loans of Rs. 26.27 crores were disbursed to 1512 beneficiaries against the target of Rs. 134 crores to 2682 beneficiaries. District Development Commissioner, Pulwama on the occasion stressed upon the bankers and concerned district level officers to implement the schemes on ground level and achieve the targets in full within the stipulated time, so that the common masses especially the unemployed educated youth can establish their own income generating units.
