KUPWARA, June 11 : In continuation with the celebrations of the Environment Week, a daylong awareness camp regarding the protection of environment was conducted at Degree College, Kupwara here today. The awareness programme was organized by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kupwara. Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman DLSA, Kupwara, Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim Wani urged to maintain the ecological balance and ensure afforestation for the sustenance of biological community in the eco-system. He underscored the significance of pollution free environment for the mankind. He also stressed for conservation of natural resources including the water resources to ensure better relationship between biotic community and a biotic environment. Among others, Principal, Government Degree College, Kupwara, Teachers, a large number of students besides Judges and Chief Executive Officer, Bungus Development Authority participated in the programme. |
