| JMC clerks observe pen down strike | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 18 : Clerical work in Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) remained paralyzed in support of 2 day pen down strike call given by the Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association. While speaking on the occasion Rohit George President- Clerical Union, JMC said that the government has failed to implement its agreement for removal of pay anomaly of 5th Pay Commission. The Clerical Union of JMC fully support the ongoing agitation and urged the government to fulfill their demand by implementing the earlier agreement. Recently the government has removed the anomaly of some of the cadres, however, ignored the clerical staff again, he added. George further said that the Pay Anomaly Committee constituted by the state Government headed by Principal Secretary Finance has already submitted its recommendations to the State Government but no formal orders with regard to removal of Pay Anomaly of Clerical Cadre have been issued till date. These delay tactics / step motherly attitude of state Government has augmented a great resentment in the Clerical Cadre and has compelled the clerical cadre to come on the roads once again, he added. |
