| NC workers join Congress in Inderwal | | | Kishtwar, June 28: National Conference workers Molvi Irshad Ahmed, Mohammad Iqbal Butt from Sarthal and Altaf Hussain from Dadpeth Chatroo today quit the National Conference and joined the Congress in front of senior congress leader and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori here on Friday. In a statement, Altaf Hussain blamed NC leadership of creating hindrance in development in Inderwal constituency. The party high command could have done something for the betterment of public welfare, but they didn't. Neither the Chief Minster nor the National Conference leaders are willing to listen." Molvi Irshad claimed. He alleged NC leadership to have used them during polls and then abandoned. "We are very much impressed with policies of the party led by Sonia Gandhi Chairperson UPA, Vice President AICC Rahul Gandhi, Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, AICC in Charge J&K Ambika Soni and local MLA G M Saroori." While welcoming new entrants into the party fold, Saroori said their presence would strengthen Congress in Inderwal constituency. |
