India to build pressure on Pak to stop aiding militants in J&K

Jammu : India and Pakistan are likely to restart the process of dialogue aimed at reducing trust deficit by exchanging prisoners held in jails in the two countries. Islamabad, official sources said, has renewed its plea to New Delhi for releasing all the Pak prisoners held in Indian jails. As far as Pakistan is concerned it has prepared a list of those Indian who are held in various jails in Pakistan.
There are 793 Indians in Pakistani jails, out of which 582 are fishermen and over 220 Pakistani prisoners are in Indian jails. Official sources said that release of Indian prisoners from Pakistani jails has been one of the priorities of the government and it has been consistently taking up the issue with Pakistan at all appropriate levels, Similarly Islamabad is also keen to ensure early release of Pakistani prisoners held in Indian jails.
