| DADAA demands telecasting of old serials | | | ET Report Jammu, Aug 4: Doordarshan Approve Drama Artists Association Jammu (DDAAJ) demanded telecasting of old serials till the new production are not commenced. According to press release, deputation of DADDA headed JS Babli met Director DDK Jammu, Shabir Mujahid and apprised him about problems being faced by the artist fraternity due to the non productions of in house serials and commissioned programs. The Director took the plea for not having funds and moreover the budget in grant for the financial year 2013-14 have not been allotted to the Kendra by the central authorities of Prasar Bharti till date. DADAA impressed upon the Director to perusal in the matter to get the fund at his earliest. Babli apprised the director, since the day of inception of Doordarshan Kendra at Jammu we are struggling for the development of our cultural heritage and welfare of Artists fraternity in particular. During the discussion DADAA stressed upon the director to continue the Drama slat by telecasting the old serials till the new productions are not commenced so that the time allotted for Drama may not be utilized for other programs and this will enhanced the viewership of DDK Jammu. The Director agreed and issued the orders to telecast the old serials on every Friday at 7.30 PM. DADAA also submit the memorandum to the Director to forward the genuine demand of DUGGAR CHANNEL to the higher authorities of Parsar Bharati for their redresal. The director gave the patience hearing and fixed the next meeting with the representatives of DADAA on 19th Of August 2013 for detail discussion on the problems of the Artists. Sandesh, Janak Khajuria, Madan Rangeela, Surinder Goel, Subash Jamwal, Uttam Singh Uttam, Arun Bakshi, Vijay Magtora and Susham Sharma accompanied the deputation. |
