| BEd College seeks affidavit for fee refund | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 24: In what could be termed as an embarrassment to students a prominent BEd college in the outskirts of city accredited with 'A' grade demanded affidavit from students who have lost their fee receipt which they get during admission.
Sources said students who lost their fee receipt were told to solicit an affidavit when they sought refund of the fee.
One of the students wishing anonymity said"i have told the college authorities to kindly entertain our application for fees refund but all in vain," he rued.
Sources said the reason for taking affidavit from students is to prevent refund of the fee a second time. They said the college refunded Rs 400 instead of 500 deposited by the students. Sources said the college was minting money. "They delay the refund as some students deposited the affidavit in the month of May but are still waiting for the refund. The principal was not available for comment. |
