Jammu, Aug 24: Scores of residents of Kanachack, along with Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party JKNPP staged protest against derailed power supply in Kanachack and adjoining areas. Speaking on the occasion, NPP leader Shanker Singh said, "The power supply arrangements have failed and people of the area were the worst sufferers." He further added that due to laxity on the part of power minister, officials of the department were least bothered to hear public grievances. "We have lodged complaint with the PDD but they have given only assurances. No one is concerned about the problems being faced by the people in the hot season," Shanker Alleged. Speaking on the occasion Partap Singh Jamwal said that for last four days their village is completely reeling under darkness. "The power supply in our area in this winter has been totally erratic and the Power Development Department (PDD) does not even follow their own schedule," said the Partap Singh. "The employees at the receiving station too have made sure to plunge our village into darkness and are resorting to unnecessary curtailments," Partap alleged. |
