early times report Jammu, Aug 24: Two groups of 25 students one each from Rajouri and Jammu districts under Special Scholarship Scheme for J&K Students of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) were flagged off for Rajasthan today by state Convener Indian Council for Enviro-Legal Action (ICELA) J&K Chapter and former legislator Ashok Sharma for B. Tech, B Pharmacy, BCA, Hotel Management and other degree level training courses. According to official spokesperson Indian Council for Enviro Legal Action (ICELA) a voluntary organization is dedicated to the cause of environment protection as a coordinating agency for Pacific University at Udheypur, Rajasthan enrolled students, for graduate level training courses under the Special Scholarship Scheme for J&K Students launched by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the first two batches selected on merit basis were dispatched to Rajasthan today for different professional courses/higher education. "Courses included Engineering, BCA, Pharmacy, Hotel Management, B.Sc, B.Com( Hons.) BA, BA (Hons) B.Sc Fire and Safety Management, Dental Hygiene and Dental Mechanic, Journalism, Polytechnic diploma courses Fashion Technology etc, statement added. Announcing the scholarships Convener ICELA and Ex MLA Ashok Sharma urged upon the students to work for bringing the youth of J&K on the national main stream and work for the green cover in their surrounding where they go and play an active role in checking global warming. Ch Vidya Sagar, MS Jamwal, Anayat Ali, Kewal Krishan, Deep Singh, Chaman Lal, Baldev Singh and Kailash Nath also spoke on this occasion and highlighted the role of ICELA for taking steps for checking the degradation of forest cover.
