AVM holds meeting, discusses problems created by reservation

JAMMU, Dec 11: A meeting of the Aarakshan Virodhi Manch (AVM) Jammu and India Against Reservation (IAR) under the presidentship of Ram Pal Seth discussed in detail the problems created by reservation. Addressing the meeting, Seth extended full support of the Manch to the individuals/ organizations fighting for the cause of unreserved category and opposing existing provisions of reservation which are causing separation and antipathy between caste and caste, he added that today reservation had become a vote catching device for political parties. He strongly hailed the decision of Samajwadi Party of opposing reservation in promotion in the parliament to undo the decision of the Supreme Court of India.
Raj Kumar Banathia Vice President of the Manch demanded setting up of a commission for suggesting measures for the eradication of economic backwardness of all castes.
