Srinagar, Dec 11: Terming the increase in LPG prices as anti-people and unwarranted, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Wednesday castigated the government of deliberately punishing the ordinary people. Demanding immediate roll back of the prices, party's candidate for Srinagar parliamentary constituency and former Finance Minister, Tariq Hammed Qarra said the hike in prices in cooking gas shows the government is on war with the common people, who are already facing the brunt of unprecedented inflation. "The National Conference-led government, in the state, has miserably failed to give any relief to the people, over the last five years, and now it's bad policies have taken heavy toll on the people's patience", Karra said.
Karra said it is ironical that in these harsh wintry conditions people have to face tremendous problems in availing the LPG cylinders as there are not enough gas outlets available in the Valley. |
