| ARDA takes out procession | | | Early Times Report
Bhaderwah, Dec 11: Auto-rickshaws Drivers Association (ARDA) Bhaderwah Wednesday took out a procession from Sari Bazaar and Pasri bus stand Bhaderwah to SDM office where they shouted anti ARTO and Traffic Police slogans. Following this, a memorandum of demands was submitted to Tehsildar Bhaderwah was consideration of their demands. Led by President Tariq Hussain Mir and General Secretary Fareed Ahmed Seikh, the ARDA members alleged that ARTO Doda is violating all rule and norms and is snatching their bread and butter by issuing route permits to Tata Magic and Sumos for plying within the Bhaderwah town which is not acceptable to us. They alleged that Tata Magic drivers are not plying their vehicles on the route permitted as maximum sumo's and Magic owners have district and state permit but instead of that they are plying within Bhaderwah town which is impacting on the business of auto-rickshaws as maximum drivers have purchased Rickshaws through bank loans and now it had become impossible for us to pay our due, they informed Tehsildar and urged him to take necessary action. They warned that if things are not sorted out within days, then protest demonstrations will be witnessed in the coming days in the city and responsibility will be on district administration for consequences associated with the strike. |
