Kathua, Dec 11: Sikh Organisations, today, convened a meeting under the chairmanship of Charanjeet Singh Bhola, President, District Gurudawara Parbandak Committee and announced their support to Bhai Gurbaksh Singh ji Who is with his companions on hunger strike since 14th of November 2013 at Gurudawara Amb sahib at Mohali, Punjab in aim to release the Sikh prisoners who are languishing in jails even though they have completed their sentences. While speaking at a press conference, Charanjeet Singh said that 118 Sikh prisoners are illegally in the jails since 1984 riots even though completion of their period of imprisonment only due to the lackness of centre and state governments. He added that Prisoners are being harassed in their own country and continually faced the ignorance even they lost any hope for their release. He added that Bapu Dr. Assa Singh 94 Years ,Central Jail, Ludhiana, Bapu Maan Singh 69 years, Model Jail Kapurthala, Bapu Harbhajan Singh 84 Years, Bapu Balwinder Singh 61 years, Bapu Mohan Singh 72 year,Bapu Saroop Singh 64 Years, Bapu Avtar Singh 76 years, Bapu Sewa Singh 73 years and many others are still in different jails in India especially in Punjab. They pointed out that this is violation of Human rights and human rights organizations must come forward to help them. |
