JAMMU, Dec 11 : J&K's special itineraries and attractive packages, unexplored destinations and great holiday deals were the highlights of the states pavilion in the CII Tourism Fest 2013, which ran successfully at the Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh last week. The three-day fest was a one stop solution to the travel and tour related queries. The fest was organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), with J & K as the Focus state in addition to Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab as the Principal Partner state; Madhya Pradesh as Silver Sponsor; while Tamil Nadu & Delhi as the Participating States and China, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia (Silver Sponsor), Turkey and Ethiopia as the participating countries. "A state like Jammu and Kashmir needs no introduction when it comes to tourist attraction but people often plan their vacations in this beautiful state only in summers. In this fest we promoted our upcoming Jammu Winter Festival and Winter adventure trips across Gulmarg," said Shiv Kumar Gupta, Joint Director Tourism, Directorate of Tourism, J&K Government. |
