EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 11 : Department of Agriculture Sub Div Akhnoor organized farmers' awareness camp at village Balgara in Tehsil Akhnoor under the supervision of SDAO Akhnoor R P Sharma.
A large number of farmers attended the camp. The camp was conducted by AEO Dasgal, Masood Chowdhary and JAEO Arun Jaral and Vijay Sharma.
During camp, the farmers were made aware about the various schemes being implemented by the department and strategies for diversification of agriculture through bee-keeping, mushroom cultivation, growing of medicinal plants, vermi- composting and establishments of bio- gas units by JAEO Arun Jaral.
Later, Amit Bhagat, Tehsildar Agrarian Akhnoor interacted with mushroom growers and also made first pick of the mushroom at farmers shed of Mohan Lal of Balgara and asked the farming community to take maximum benefits from departmental schemes. |
