Jammu, Jan 6: National Youth Corporation (NYC) today staged protest demonstration against government for not redressing demands of 8000 NYC youth who were engaged on merit basis in2010 unrest in Kashmir under the leadership of Surinder Singh here outside the press club Jammu. According to press release, NYC district president Jammu Surinder Singh said that the protester raised slogan in support of demands NYC youth, who were engaged on merit basis in 2010 unrest. Whereas NYC demanded from government to come up with a comprehensive policy by which the future of 8000 NYC remain secure, by making absorption of all NYC youth on available vacancies where we were rendering our services from more than three years. But government timely gave verbal assurances and done nothing at ground level and now government backtrack from his promises made with NYC youth, which was great shock to NYC youth future. While addressing Jagdeep Singh said that the coalition government policy of encouraging backdoor entry policy and discouraging merit basis recruitment policy. He warned the chief minister Omar that you must keeps this thing in your consideration that no NYC is going to leave the government departments as we were serving without pay from last year. He further said NYC youth got frustrated and for any untoward state government would responsible at all. Anu Verma, Varinder Kour, Preti, Mumta, Deepika, Gulshan, Hukamat Singh, Gurprete Singhand Raman Sharma were present on the occasion. |
