Jammu, Jan 6: Situation at village Khojipur in Bishnah turns tense when an alleged bid to grab a vast spread of prime land 24 kanals of Shishu Smadiyan by a Sub-Inspector of Jammu and Kashmir police was foiled by the locals, this afternoon. Sources said that one Sub Inspector Nazir Ahmed presently posted as In-Charge Police Post Sidhra along with his Personnel security Officers (PSOs) went to village Khojipur for allegedly grabbing of 24 kanals of Shishu Smadyian land which was resisted by locals of the area. "And this turn the situation tense in the village, sources added. Sources further claimed that SI Nazir had some documents which he claimed pertains to the land in question. After receiving the information, Station House Officer (SHO) Bishnah, Inspector Narinder Singh along with Tehsildar Bishnah, Sahid Mohammad immediately rushed to the spot and pacified the situation. Meanwhile SDPO RS Pura, Diwakar Singh when contacted told that police had verified the documents which SI Nazir had possessed. However, on precautionary measures to diffuse the situation we have persuaded SI to go back. Concerned Revenue Official i.e. Tehsildar Bishnah also said that SI has documents pertaining to land issued from Administrator Aquaf Board. |
