Jammu, Jan 6: Harsh Dev Singh National Panther Party (NPP) Chairman has described the five years account of coalition govt's 'Achievements' as a damp squib and a faux pas. Ridiculing the tall claims and exaggerated dissonance of the ruling alliance, he said that the govt. is indulging in hypocritical self praise and self adulation without delivering anything on the ground. Describing the coalition rule as an era of non-governance, non-performance, regional bias, fractioned work culture, lack of accountability and transparency, fiscal indiscipline, patronized corruption and poor govt. deliverance, Harsh Dev said the govt. has utterly failed to address and redress the urges and aspirations of the people of the state and to redeem its promises. Harsh Dev Singh said that the govt. has been high on rhetoric and low on delivery with all its tall claims, airy slogans and loud pronouncements having fallen flat. He said the politico-constitutional apparatus has collapsed and the administrative machinery having completely been paralyzed, the faith of the common man has been completely shaken. NPP leader also claimed that the centrally sponsored schemes including PMGSY, RGGVY, RMSA, UIDSSMT, NHRM, NRDWSP, APDRP, IHSDP, PYKKA etc. have failed to achieve the desired objectives. He lambasted the most hostile discrimination doled out to Jammu region in multifarious sectors including development projects, devolution of funds, Employment opportunities, share in professional institutions, Rural connectivity, power, Health Sector, Tourism promotion besides others. Harsh Dev Singh said that the govt. failed to ensure redressal of the grievances of agitating educated youths and Pak Refugees, PoK Refugees and migrants of Jammu region "The issue of patronized corruption, large scale encroachments of state and forest lands, defunct Commissions , PSC and SSB, faulty and irregular composition of State Advisory Boards for Gujjar Bakarwals, Kissans, SCs and OBCs, violation of austerity measures and financial codes by Minister and Top bureaucrats and abuse of Public exchequer were the other highlights of the coalition mis-rule, he observed. Harsh Dev Singh said that while the coalition ministers specialized in self-praise and making loud pronouncements, the output on the ground was negligible. He deplored abuse of authority and lack of accountability in governance. Singh said that the ruling coalition has earned the distinction of being a government of mere slogans and announcements. He said that the slogans of the government of work culture, Accountability, transparency had fallen flat and its announcements proved damp squib. |
