Peer Panchal residents criticize Azad for announcement of medical colleges
Alleges discrimination with twin border districts of Rajouri, Poonch

Rajouri , Feb 16 : People of Peer Panchal region which include Rajouri and Poonch border districts have criticized the Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for ignoring the Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency and said that the Minister has sanctioned two Medical colleges for Udhampur-Doda Constituency which is , according to them is a clear example of discrimination with the people of this region. People of of Peer Panchhal region have expressed their anguish and serious concern over anti- Paharis policies of Union Health Minister Ghulmal Nabi Azad and said that Azad is ignoring people belonging of this region who had faced all the wars with Pakistan and had faced extreme militancy. Shabaz Khan, J&K Pahari People Movement (JKPPM) leader said that State government had constructed a huge building of the district hospital but this hospital has been facing acute shortage of required doctors and staff.
It was announced at the the time of its opening few years ago that the government is planning to open a medical college at Rajouri so that his hospital can catre the urgent need of medical assistance in case of any natural calamity or accidents . Rajouri is situated at the center of Jammu-Poonch highway and now has also become an important place after the construction of historical Mughal road. In case of any medical emergency victims have to be rushed to Medical college Hospital at Jammu and sometimes many victims dies on way. Habitats of district Rajouri have resented the discrimination with them on part of Union Health Minister and has warned that if the Medical college was not sanctioned for Rajouri they will come on the roads. Leaders of JKPPM has also appealed to the habitats of district to come together for this fight as more than 9 lakh people of both the districts have been ignored by the Union Minister for Health
