Jammu, June 8 : Expressing concern over the allegedly encroachment by Airport Authority of India (AAI) and Roads and Building (R&B) Department on Mandir land Shri Ranbirnath Mandir Bhumi Sangarsh Samiti (SRMBSS) today held under the chairmanship of its president Pt Ashok Kumar Khajuria. While addressing the meeting Ashok Kumar Khajuria said that there was work in progress regarding the renovation and expansion of the Jammu Airport which is being carried out jointly by AAI and R&B department Jammu and Kashmir government. "The AAI and R&B department in connivance with some politicians and higher officials of the revenue department Jammu and Kashmir State government has encroached a huge portion of the Temple land, while the Jammu based Ministers in the coalition government were least bothered about the said encroachment in the historic temples' land", he alleged , Meanwhile, the Samiti members after through discussion unanimously appealed to the state government for urgent intervention into the matter and release the encroached temple's land at the earliest. They also threatened state government of serious consequences if this matter was not redressed positively. Prominent among others who were those present in the meeting included Inderpal Bhola, vice president, Rajesh Bakshi, general secretary, Vikas Sharma, secretary, Vijay Sharma advisor, Pritam Lal Sharma- press secretary, Lalit Shastri cashier, Jaspal Sharma, Joginder Sharma, Pawan Kaliya, Sushil Rishi, Anil Sharma, Deepti Shastri, Surinder Sharma, Naresh Shastri, Umesh Khajuria Sunil Khajuria, Deepak Khajuria, Govind Raj, Deputy Kumar and Diwan Chand Choudhary. |
