| NC leaders launched false propaganda for OBCs welfare: AIBCU | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 9: Alleging that it was just a chit-chat meet by NC provincial president Devender Singh Rana and NC leader Rampaul in the name of National Conference's SC/OBC cell with no agenda for the community, the All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) general secretary Kali Dass today said that both the leaders initiated false propaganda.
"All OBC institutions set-up for the welfare of the state OBCs have been converted into a money minting machines for the friends and relatives of the state rulers with specific aim viz lucrative benefits on one hand and to stop the natural flow of justice for the state OBCs on the other hand. This is no welfare of the State OBCs.
The members lamented that Sr NC leader Rana has utterly failed to organise a meet of AIBCU depuration with chief minister after his elevation as Jammu Provincial President even after making a promise with the union's deputation which met him at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu on that day.
Another senior NC leader Ram Paul time and again has been in controversies in the NC even for his remarks against the implementation of Mandal Report.
The provincial president for Jammu, Devender Rana had Sunday called for convergence among weaker sections to attain political empowerment and socio-economic transformation. Right from Sher-e-Kashmir's times, NC never believed in political empowerment of anybody except the Sheikh Family.
There is no denying the fact that Sher-e-Kashmir took keen interest in Sur walas (people who would collect defective rice from households in Srinagar city).
This section of the society acted as his `civil militia'. This detested group would tame Sher-e-Kashmir's opponents.
Rana better keep his hands off the SC. Even Mahatma Gandhi could not solve their problems. This is too much for a business tycoon. For feeling the pain of the SC, one needs to have the heart and nerves of Gandhi, said Kali Dass.
History is witness to the fact that Sher-e-Kashmir never reached out to this class of the society. Mader-e-Meherbaan also did not play the typical mother. She too ignored them. Rana is distorting history by attributing to them what they never did. |
