| MV Deptt organizes Road Safety awareness cum Medical checkup camp | | | Early Times Report
REASI, June 11: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD), Reasi, today held a Road Safety Awareness Orientation cum Medical checkup camp for drivers and cleaners of Salal Power Station here at Jyotipuram, Reasi
The camp was organized keeping with the year long drive that the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Reasi has undertaken to spread awareness about traffic rules and road safety throughout the district by involving schools, colleges and members of the society and drivers. The orientation cum medical health check camp was sponsored by Salal Power Station, NHPC Ltd and organized by MVD Reasi.
Rajeev Jeerath, Chief Engineer NHPC was the chief guest on the occasion. He appealed the drivers to remain health conscious and ensure routine medical examination for healthy life. He asked the drivers to pay attention towards their health as illness is detrimental to safe driving.
Around 50 drivers participated in the camp and were imparted awareness about traffic rules and road safety by Assistant Road Transport Officer Reasi, Rajesh Gupta.
Gupta also gave them tips to keep themselves healthy and fit besides the maintenance of their vehicles for ensuring road safety. Film show on road safety was also shown on this occasion and drivers and cleaners were provided with literature on good health and traffic rules by MVD Reasi.
District Information Officer Parvinder Kour, Motor Vehicle Inspector Reasi Vikas Srivats and staff from Salal power Station, NHPC Ltd including Dr Nisha Sharma and Dr Ajit Gupta Senior Deputy Medical Officer, R.K Chouhan Manager Transport, Dr PL Sharma Deputy Manager, Arjun Upadhaya Deputy Manager Transport, participated in the awareness camp. |
