| 10 J&K candidate in IAS selection list | | | Early Times Report
Jammu/Srinagar, June 12: Like previous year a total number of 10 candidates from the state of Jammu and Kashmir made it to final selection list of IAS 2013 results of which were declared today.
The feat was achieved by the candidates after putting in lot of hard work at work and at the coaching centres.
The highest ranker from the state Abid Hussain Sadiq at 27 is already working as Assistant Commissioner Indian Revenue Service. He was inspired by the success of the candidates from Kashmir and kept studying despite making it to the list last year.
Four candidates made it to the list from Kashmir valley while six candidates from Jammu region made it to the final list.
Three candidates from Poonch made it to the list while one candidate from Jammu, Reasi and Ramban figured in the list.All the candidates from Poonch are already serving the state govt as they had cleared KAS exams. Alumni of NIT Srinagar and SKUAST these three candidates are currently working in the rank of under secretary in various state govt departments.
