Kishtwar, June 12: Ruling National Conference in Kishtwar District has received a major setback after Zargar Youth Welfare Association an amalgam of goldsmiths with over 3000 voters has decided to withdraw its support to the party and announced that they are ready to Support the Change.
In an extra ordinary meeting of the executive body of the Zargar Youth Welfare Association Kishtwar under the chairmanship of Aashiq Hussain Zargar, the participants slammed the policies and programmes of the present NC leadership in Kishtwar.
While strongly criticizing the working, the association members blame that the leadership has remained totally 'relationship centered' as a result of which nepotism flourished particularly in the matter of appointment of their kith and kins in the government or semi government jobs besides in allotting the pretty works in the various departments in favour of their close relatives.
"Such type of working has given rise to unrest among the youth of the Kishtwar in general and in particular among the workers of the Zargar Youth Welfare Forum as its members have remained the staunch workers of the said leadership from the very beginning" said members of association to Early Times.
They said as a result of the wrong policies adopted by the leadership, the executive body has decided that the association will come out with its programme for change after announcement of assembly elections.
He said that the association will once again meet on next Sunday to decide further course of the action. The much surprise and matter of concern for the Kishtwar NC is that; party's youth President Imtiyaz Ahmed Zarger also hails from the same community and participated in this meeting wherein the community raised revolt against his party.
Among the prominent who participated in the meeting include Majid Zarger, Shafeen Ahmed, Sajjad Hussain, Javed Iqbal, Masood Zargar, Sohail Zargar, Imran Hussain, Mohsin Zargar, Saqib Ali, Ali Mohammad, Shabir Hussain, Khursheed Hussain, Javed Ahmed, Ishtiyaq Hussain, Imtiyaz Zarger, Sajjad Zargar, Waqar Zargar, Amir Zargar, Rahat Zargar, Burhaan Zargar, Touseef Zargar, Sohail zargar and others.
Meanwhile NC Kishtwar has put all resources in service to motivate the community and win back their support. But all their efforts yield no results when last report came in.
