| Week long JKP Raising Day celebration starts at Kathua | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, June 12: A week long Raising Day celebration of Jammu and Kashmir District Police started today at Police Line Kathua.
Addressing a colorful function at Armed Police Headquarter in District Police Line Kathua here today SSP Kathua Mohan Lal Kaith said JKP having rich tradition of valour and sacrifices since its establishment, has always remained on forefront to protect law of the land and maintain honour of the people.
He said it has a long history of sacrifices for keeping the flag of the nation afloat and the jawans and officers of the force exhibited their valour, discipline and courage, not only during peace times but have also shared the miseries of the people during disasters and foreign aggressions.
The function was attended by a large number of officers of the police, besides a parade was held on the occasion. Mohan Lal said that being militancy affected state and growing problems of drugs abuse many challenges for JKP but with the cooperation of the people, the force succeeded in facing the situation effectively. |
