| JKP to organize series of programmes | | 'Raising Day' celebrations | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, June 12: As part of the weeklong 'Raising Day' celebrations, the J&K Police is going to organize a series of programmes in Udhampur district to commemorate the day. Kick starting the festivity of J&K Police's Raising Day here today, the District Police organized a Shabeel (offering of sweetened water) in front of the main gate of District Police Lines. The other programmes of the week long celebrations include cleanliness drive in association with Municipal Council Udhampur tomorrow in Udhampur Town while a seminar on awareness against dowry menace will be organized at Pancheri on June 14. On June 15, a T-20 cricket tourney will commence at Subhash Stadium, Udhampur which will continue up to June 17 while a Volley ball match will be organized at Basantgrah on the same day. A cultural-cum-Youth conference will be organized at Government Higher Secondary School, Rehmbal on June 18 while a seminar-cum-debate on alcoholism and drug addiction will be organized at Chenani on June 19. |
