Cricket tourney held at Chatroo to mark 'JKP Raising Day'

Kishtwar, June 14: As a part of celebrations in connection with "Raising Day" of Jammu and Kashmir Police, District Police Kishtwar conducted a one day friendly Cricket tournament at Chatroo.
According to reports, the inaugural cricket match was played between the teams of Mugal Maidaan and Chingam XI. Playing first Mugal Maidaan team scored 103 runs in the allotted 10 overs, whereas Chingam XI barely could score only 91 runs. Sabdar Hussain of Mugal Maidaan was declared as Man of the Match for claiming two wickets and scoring 20 runs.
Among prominent present this inaugural occasion, Gh Nabi Malik, Tehsildar Chatroo, Dr Mubashir Hussain DySP (P), inspector Rajinder Sharma and Major Davinder Coy Commander 11 RR.
In the end, the trophies and mementos were presented to winner and runner-up teams on the occasion. Concluding the occasion the organizers exhorted the gathering to help the Police in law enforcement and also contribute toward nation building and in maintenance of communal harmony. They were also told to channelize their energies in constructive activities.
