JAMMU, July 28: Impressed by the pro-development and common man centric programs and policies of Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP),Rakesh Gupta President of Hanuman Mandir Chock Shopkeepers Association along with several prominent traders & social workers of Purani Mandi joined the party in presence of Bharat Choudary, party candidate from Jammu (East) segment and other party leaders . Party spokesperson said during a specially convened party joining function held at main chowk Purani Mandi and attended by Bharat Choudary, party candidate from Jammu East constituency, Vikram Singh, Ashok Jogi, Rafiq Malik, Girish Sharma, Sachin Sharma and Chaman Angral, the new faces joined in the party. The program was organized by Pankaj Gupta Dist sect PDP, Jammu, Welcoming new entrants into the party folds, Bharat Choudary said that pro development approach of party patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed has attracted attention of the people. He also claimed that the Mufti led regime in 2002 had virtually changed the political history of Jammu and Kashmir as it was the tenure of the then government when there were no backdoor appointments and every deserving got employment without any political bias. Youth leader Vikram Singh in his address hoped that new entrant will work wholeheartedly to contribute in their respective fields so as to make PDP to win maximum seats in forthcoming assembly polls. |
