Jammu, July 28: A day after the suspension of the licence of JK Medicity and its seizure, Director Health Services, Jammu, today constituted a three-member committee to probe into the incident. The committee members included Dr B.P Sharma , Deputy Director, Health, CMO Arvind Raina and Medical Superintendent, Govt Hospital Sarwal, Robinder Khajuria. The committee will be submitting the report after a thorough probe. Pertinently, Channi Himmat police has booked Dr Amarjeet Singh and Multi-Purpose Health Worker Roma Devi for their negligence which led to the abortion of pregnant lady in the JK Medicity Hospital at Narwal.The pregnant lady was under the treatment of Dr Indu Khoda, who recommended her for injection and some medicines after she complained of abdominal pain. Following Dr Indu's prescription, the lady and her husband went to the JK Medicity hospital where she was given wrong treatment, resulting her abortion. The incident took place on July 25 night when Stuti Sharma, wife of Rakesh Sharma, resident of tehsil Nowshera, district Rajouri, was brought by her family members to JK Medicity for medical check up. In the hospital, she was given wrong treatment in place of another patient and was later aborted. |
