| Abducted minor recovered after 16 days | | | Udhampur, Aug 23: Udhampur Police have claimed to have recovered a 9th class student abducted by a youth from village Dubi Gali- Panchari of Udhampur from Saplai Morh Udhampur.
According to police sources, a student of 9th class (name withheld) was abducted by a youth from village Dubi Gali Pancheri on August 7 and her relatives lodged a complaint with police accordingly a case was registered at Police Station Panchari against Rubal Singh s/o Jay Singh of Gundha Tehsil Budal District Rajouri.'
Taking cognizance in the matter, a police team under supervision of SSP Udhampur Mohd Suleman Choudhary started investigation and conducted series of raids at possible hide outs of accused.
During such raids, police team today recovered a abducted minor girl from Saplai Morh Udhampur, police sources said and added that further investigations are on. |
