| NPSU criticizes Speaker for marshal out Mankotia | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 26: National Panthers Student Union (NPSU) taking serious note of action taken by Speaker, J&K Assembly who marshaled out MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia for raising issue of cross border firing in the Assembly, today held a massive protest demonstration and burnt effigy of Pakistan. Activists of NPSU started gathering in front of the gate of Jammu University and started raising slogans against state government as well as Pakistan. They also brunt the effigy of Pak and blocked the main road outside the Jammu University for almost half an hour. Addressing the gathering, Thakur Virender Singh, State President NPSU said that it is very shameful that no other MLA of any other political party stood in the support of MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia who was raising the issue of the miseries of border residents because of cross border firing by Pakistan. Thakur said that central government should abandon all the bilateral relations with Pakistan and stop cross border trade until and unless Pakistan stop pushing militants to the Indian Territory and stop cross border. He said that the border residents are terrorized and living a miserable life because of cross border firing. He further said that MLA Udhampur and State President JKNPP Balwant Singh Mankotia when tried to raise the issue of cross border firing in the Assembly he was marshaled out which is a shocking and unfortunate incident. He said that this is not the first time when the Panthers Party MLA has been marshaled out but there are many previous examples also when NPP MLAs tried to raise the voice of Jammu and highlight the genuine issues they were marshaled out. |
