Omar failed not just by his Ministers and Officers, but his party as well!
Where is NC's youth wing?

JAMMU, Sept 15: Facing public fury for the failure of his Government to respond to the recent catastrophe particularly in the Valley, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was deserted by not only his Ministerial colleagues, party MLAs and officers of his administration, but also by his own party, which boasts of being the biggest cadre based party of the state.
The conspicuous absence of the National Conference cadre and more pertinently its youth and students wings in the rescue operations is disheartening and disappointing, especially at a time when the youth wings of national parties like Congress and BJP are participating pro actively in the rescue and relief operations underway in the Valley.
Official sources divulge that volunteers of BJYM, the youth wing of the BJP, Youth National Congress, the youth wing of the INC and even RSS volunteers have reached marooned areas in handsome numbers and are contributing hugely in the ongoing operations to rescue stranded people and in reaching relief to those rescued and rehabilitated in temporary camps. "Many volunteers of the YNC, BJYM and even RSS are rendering their services in rescue and relief operations and their contributions have been widely lauded by the locals as well as government agencies," said a volunteer. "They have been instrumental in collecting relief material from across the country and deliver them to the flood victims who were left with nothing to sustain themselves," he added.
People believe that Omar government and the National Conference could have made up for their pathetic failure in responding to the tragic floods by mobilizing cadre from Jammu and Kashmir wings in rescue and relief operations, but the National Conference has failed the victims yet again and has lost another opportunity to win back their trust. The failure of the party to mobilize its cadre at the time of biggest human tragedy the state has witnessed in a century is being attributed to leadership paralysis at the provincial level both in Jammu and Kashmir divisions.
