| Cong MLA Indu Pawar visits worst affected Pancheri | | | Udhampur, Sept 18: President Mahila Congress and MLA Indu Pawar led a team of Mahila Congress workers to areas of Pancheri/Udhmapur to take stock of the situation as the area has been witnessed devastation during recent heavy rains.
Accompanied with Prabha Slathia Mahila District President Jammu, s Suman, Satya Parmar Mahila District President Reasi, Suman Lata and Ms Bimla Congress Leader Ms Pawar visited Udhampur and Reasi districts in her three day tour.
During her visit Congress MLA alongwith her team visited landslide affected families who have lost their dear ones and expressed sympathies with them in villages of Saddal, Panjar, Badota and Thathli.
She asked agencies to help to trace the missing family members of village where house have been buried in land slide triggered after huge rocked caved in after incessant rains. She however appreciated the relief and rescue operation started by the state government and urged to expedite the same so that rehabilitation of survivors is done expeditiously before on set of coming winter. She appealed the affected people to co-operate with Govt. agencies in assessing of their damages and early finalization of reports. |
