SMVDU clarifies its position

Jammu, Sept 18: A day after publishing the news item in ET having caption ' Amenities hit rock bottom as SMVDU affects major fee hike' the registrar of SMVDU namely Ajay Khajuria , telephonically informed that the SMVDU remain closed for Tuesday last due to paucity of water, adding, instead, the classes which remained off on Tuesday, was coped up on Saturday. Meanwhile, the university authorities said that the medical and other facilities had been made available to students in campus as Dr Pallav Sharma and other staff members were working round the clock.
Pertinently, Registrar was contacted for a number of times when the allegations against the SMVDU were leveled by the parents of the students for comment, but despite of best efforts, the correspondent remained at receiving end.
