Bio-diversity conservation, environment awareness campaign held

JAMMU, Sept 22: A bio-diversity conservation and environment awareness campaign was organized by Government High School Ligri Paddar, Kishtwar.
The campaign held under the guidance of headmaster Ramesh Babu under the banner of World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
A large number of students as well as the public of the area participated in the programme. The main objective of the programme was to aware the public in general and students in particular to know about the bio-diversity.
In this connection, a rally was also organized wherein slogans like save the plants and save the nature were raised. A painting competition and symposium was also organized on the subject, in which top three students were awarded. The students who received 1st, 2nd and 3rd awards were Vishal Kumar, Babita Devi and Sandeep Kumar respectively.
