| Modern,sophisticated methods in animal husbandry can eliminate poverty : MLA Ramban | | | | Ramban, Sept 29: Member of Legislative Assembly Ramban Ashok Kumar has said that the modern and sophisticated methods in animal husbandry is the key to eliminate the poverty in India. According to press release, extending his all cooperation to the Animal Husbandry Department MLA,Ramban,Ashok Kumar said this during his inaugural address to the audience consisting mainly of Scheduled Tribe community members in the Foot and Mouth Disease(FMD) Prevention cum Awareness camp at Parnote under the All India Coordinated Research Programme here today and called the Animal and Sheep rearing, the mainstay of our rural economy. He urged the government to open more Veterinary Dispensaries especially in the remote villages. During the camp attended by about 200 farmers 32 blood samples of young cattle were collected for testing sera for FMD by a team led by Dr.Vinita, Epidemiologist who explained the farmers the need to prevent FMD (Mokhar) before its outbreak. On this occasion CAHO,Ramban ,Dr. Ramesh Razdan said that their awareness about its vaccination can prevent this fatal viral disease and can avoid huge losses to the farmers. Sarpanches Haji Mohd. Yousaf , Haji Yusuf, Choudhary Abdul Gani and Panch,Shah Jahan Begaum also spoke on the occasion. |
