| Rotary club organizes flood relief camp | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 30: Rotary Club Jammu organized a Flood Relief camp at Sure Chak Near Tawi River Jammu. The residents of the locality had suffered huge loss due to the recent flash floods. The club distributed 45 Gas lights to the residents of this area. During the visit of club members to this place on 28th Sept, 2014, they local residents apprised the club members that the residents are not having proper & regular supply of electricity in their area and they are in great need of Gas lights to bear with the electricity failure. President Rtn CA. Amit Gupta assured them that the Rotary club members are with all of them and asked them to provide the list of families facing these hardships. Immediately, A committee was formed of the local resident families comprising of Vinay, Jeevan & Girdhari Lal. They apprised the club members that initially they need 45 gas lights to mitigate the hardships of all the families of the area. Accordingly, today these "Gas lights" were distributed to all the families by the Rotary club members. Rtn. Amit Gupta on behalf of the club, assured the flood affected families that all possible help required by them shall be provided to these families in coming days also. He also requested the families of this areas to provide a list of necessary food items/other material being needed by them. Among other present on the occasion were Rtn. R S Goel, Rtn Surinder Bansal, Rtn. Ajay Aggarwal, Rtn. Sahil Chopra, Rtn Vipan Bhasin, Rtyn Sunita Bansal and Rtyn Koushalya Aggarwal. |
