MV International School celebrates Activity Day 10/29/2014 9:27:03 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 29: MV International School celebrated the Activity Day today in the school premises by organizing an inter house debate competition, According to press release, students of class VI-VIII presented their views in favour and against the topic, "Television is the main cause of violence in today's society." Participants of all the four houses impressed the audience by being able to improvise quick rebuttals and making attempts to discredit their opponents' arguments as well as answering the challenging questions from the interjector. Winners were Mansi (8th A), Dheemant (8th A), & Atul (8th A) from Darwin House with 145 points, followed by Akriti (8th A), Kanika (8th A) & Samriti (8th B) from Newton House with 143 points. Class III - V had Inter House Speedball final match between Netwon and Einstien house. It was incredible to see the energy and determination from both teams and the excellent support which house members were giving to their teammates.Veer Bharti (4th B) and Akash Slathia (4th A) from Newton house became winner with maximum number of shots. An Intra-Section Spellathon Competition for students of IX -XII was organized aiming to promote, nurture and reward students at spellings, meanings, origin and sentence framing. It helps to motivate students to take keen interest in enriching their vocabulary & pronunciation skills. Classes I -II were involved in story book reading activity to provide valuable practice to children. Children very enthusiastically participated with proper voice intonation, pronunciation & expressions.
