All booths in Baramulla sensitive, 485 hypersensitive

BARAMULLA, Oct 29: There will be a total of 825 polling stations in Baramulla of which as per vulnerability mapping 485 have been classified as hyper sensitive and remaining sensitive.
This was stated Deputy Commissioner Baramulla and also the District Election Officer held a press conference with regard to assembly election for North Kashmir's Baramulla district which is scheduled to be held on Dec 09.
Giving details Dr Lone said that district Baramulla comprises of seven assembly constituencies Uri, Rafiabad, Sopore, Sangrama, Baramulla, Gulmarag, and Pattan. He further added that around 591235 voters exercising their voting across the Baramulla district, including 309230 males and 281988 female electors whereas there are 8956 migrant electors and 201 service electors in the district.
However he maintained that the deployment of the security forces will be as per the requirement to maintain law and order and to ensure free and fair elections in the district.
Giving details he said that Model Code of Conduct has come into force with effect from Oct 25, 2014 and shall be strictly implemented in the district, while as to check the enforcement of model code of conduct, monitoring committees have been constituted at district, sub division and thesil levels. Minimum Basic Facilities (MBF) is being ensured at all the polling stations which includes drinking water, toilets, and ramps he added.
Meanwhile Presentation of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) was also displayed so that electors will not face any difficulty in casting their votes in the assembly elections.
