Independent contesting candidate criticizes Udhampur MLA 11/20/2014 11:05:20 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Nov 20 : The independent contesting candidate from Udhampur Pawan Kumar criticized the sitting MLA who ruined the sports project of Subhash Stadium on Thursday. As per press release, Pawan Kumar Gupta promised to create high quality sports facilities for the town. Despite being the fourth largest district, he reflected on how the residents do not even have access to a swimming pool or a tennis court. He said that the state machinery has failed to identify Sachin Tendulkars or Mary Koms. He further said that sports can be a tool to fight several lifestyle diseases like diabetes and blood pressure which have become rampant in our generation. Furthermore, employment avenues can be created and the energy of youth be channelized to a positive use.
