Rotary club to organize free congenital heart surgeries

Rajouri, Jan 10 : Rotary Club, Rajouri under Rotary's project 'Gift of Love' has decided to organize free congenital heart surgeries for below 18 year poor children of the state at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute at New Delhi. Parents/guardians of the children desirous of availing the opportunity have been asked to register their names with Rotn KK Langer, chief coordinator of medical camp in which preliminary screening of the patients will be conducted at Jammu on 14,March 2015. Parents/guardians may also contact Langer on 9419170603 or on [email protected] and can also meet him at International higher secondary school at Rajouri. Parents/guardians from Kashmir valley can registered themselves with Kid's Rehabilitation Clinic, Society for Children, Pandrethan, Srinagar or can contact on mobile phone number 9419000189. "Parents/guardians ,if desire, preliminary screening for the valley children can be tied up at Srinagar instead at Jammu i.e on March 14": said KK Langer. Parents/guardians have been advised to contact along with latest ECHO reports, three passport size photographs of children, BPL category proof and medical information forms. KK Langer said that final screening of the patients will be held on 28th March 2015 at government hospital at Gandhi Nagar, Jammu where eminent Pediatric and Congenital Heart Specialist Dr. Krishna S. Iyer and his team will screen the patients. He added that children finally selected will be operated at Delhi. He inform the parents/guardians that they have to arrange themselves to and fro travelling expenses, boarding and lodging expenditure while the cost of open heart surgery will be met by Rotary Club under their Project "Gift of Love".
Rotary International under its project "gift of Life" have been arranging free heart surgeries for the children below 18 years and belonging to economically weak sections of the society.
This project of Rotary International is beyond borders, caste , creed, color, religion and race and has been giving life to children born to die thereby touching, changing and making difference to lives of many from all over the Globe.
