Anticorruption Court frames charges against Patwari other

Jammu, Jan 10: Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Sanjay Dhar has framed corruption charges against Himat Singh S/o Lashman Singh R/o Ratnal Tehsil Bishnah the then Patwari Halqa Taraf Brahmana (Retd.), Sardari Lal S/o Ami Chand R/o Mandir Morh Bishnah the then Patwari Halqa Taraf Brahmana and Al Din S/o Ibrahim R/O Taraf Brahmana Tehsil Bishnah Distt. Jammu for making fake entries in revenue records by fraudulent means.
According to the crime Branch case, a written complaint was lodged by Mangat Ali, Jamal Din and Munir Hussain Sons of late Hasham Din A/P Laswara Tehsil Bishnah before DIG Crime and Railways, J&K, Jammu that the father of the complainants was in possession of 44 kanals and 10 marlas of Shamlat Deh land in village Taraf Brahmana Tehsil Bishnah for the last about 40 years as is evident from the revenue record. One Lal Din had no place for shelter and he took shelter with the father of the complainants and started living alongwith him in the land with his permission as tenant since 1985.
After the death of complainant's father and mother, who died in 1984 Lal Din has been threatening the complainants and claimed for the entire land and got it entered in his name in revenue record by conniving with revenue officials.
All the illegal Acts have done by the revenue officials by misusing their official powers of pecuniary benefits to the said Lal Din. On the basis or wrong illegal entries the said Lal Din is threatening to deprive the complainants.
Of whole land etc. accordingly the case was registered and investigation started. During the course of investigation I.O collected the revenue record pertaining to the land in question and also recorded the statements of Prosecution witnesses including local having bearing aware of the facts u/s 161 Cr.PC. The record so obtained was also got examined through FSL and expert opinion thereof obtained. It was fully established against the above mentioned accused persons that the revenue officials have given undue benefits to the beneficiary and misuse their official position and after completion of the investigation challan was presented against all these accused persons u/s 420,467, 468, 471,120-b,201/ RPC r/w Sec.5(2) PC Act.
