| Army day celebrated | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Jan 10: Health Awareness Lecture and Medical Camp conducted by the Jangalwar based 8 Rashtriya Rifiles on occasion of Army Day 2015 Celebrations from January 7 to 10 2015 at Thathri. According to press release, ex servicemen school attracted the local populace and encouraged them towards their health and hygiene. Medical Officer of the battalion briefed the locals about the importance of personal health awareness and also conducted free medical camp. The Aim of this event was to inculcate general awareness about personal health and hygiene during winters. The event received an overwhelming response with over 215 Locals including 75 Ladies participated in the medical camp. With this philosophy in mind, coupled with the object of winning hearts and minds and elimination of terrorism from the grass route levels, a well thought out perception has been launched by the army. Under this program, 8 RR under took a unique mission of engaging the local populace of Thathri and Jangalwar by educating them towards their personal health and hygiene. Health Awareness Lecture and Medical Camp initiative taken by the battalion for the local populace of the AOR had an extremely positive impact on the psychology of the local population and has helped molding their perception positively. The changed perception of people is sure to help the army in achieving its objectives of eliminating the terrorism from the grass root levels soon. |
