Khalsa XI, Samar Club register win in 3rd Christmas T-20 Cup

Jammu, Jan 17: Khalsa XI and Samar club registered win and enters the semifinal round of on going 3rd Christmas Twenty-20 Cricket Cup for College Students and J&K Cricketers at Parade Cricket Ground, here today.
The tournament is being organized under the supervision of Shakeel Beig DIG Jammu and Fr. Kuriakose Chairman Christian Sports Org. Jammu while Rajesh Gill former Ranji Player is the organizing Secy. of the tournament.
Earlier, in the first match, Khalsa XI defeated Tanishta Club by 1 run.
Batting first, Khalsa XI scored 138 runs in stipulated 20 overs for 9 wkts, with Mincal (44), Harinder (15) & Prithvi(14). Sahil Sharma and Ashu took 2 wickets each, whereas Sumit and Deepak manhas took 1 wicket each.
Tanishta XI in reply could not achieved the target in 20 overs as managed to score 137 runs for 9 wickets thus lost the match by 1 run. Ishan scored 42 runs, Sahil Sharma made 16 runs and Ashu scored 14 runs .Prithvi took 4 wickets , Dutta took 2 wickets, Nitin and Kalu took 1 wicket each for his team. Prithvi was decalared man of the Match.
In the second match, Samar Club scripted a comfortable win against RCC Srinagar.
Batting First, Samar Club made 141 runs in 20 overs for 6 wickets with Prince (62) and Raman (43) were the main scorers. Kuldeep and Aman took 2 wickets each, Satish and Sourav took 1 wicket each.
In reply, RCC Srinagar could not achieve the target and were all out for 132 runs in 19 overs with Ahad Sham (36) , Satish (31) and Amit (29) as the main scorers. K.K. took 3 wickets, Amar took 2 Wickets ,Prince,Udhay and Rohit shared 1 wicket each. Prince adjudged Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Suhail Yusuf, Nitu Khokher,Sanju, Vinod and Farooq. Semifinal Matches of Christmas Cup will include, Khalsa Cricket Club vs Samar Cricket Club at 9:30 am, JKP XI V/S Sarveshwar Cricket Club at 1.00 pm.
