Jammu, May 28: Congratulating the people of Jammu and all other organizations for making Jammu Bandh call a successful in support of AIIMS, Former Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Narender Singh exhorted the people to remain united for the cause of Jammu which has always been at the receiving end.
As per press release, Narender Singh said that the success of peaceful bandh in Jammu on May 27 must have embarrassed all those who till date have been treating Jammu as their fiefdom and have been befooling masses on one pretext of the other for their short term political gains at the cost of long term gains for Jammu and its people.
Making scathing attack on BJP, he said that while BJP at the centre and their cadres in rest of the country were busy in celebrating their first year rule by creating media hype and were praising their self professed achievements but the shut down in Jammu on the call given by chamber of commerce and Industries, Jammu Bar Association, Transporters unions and most of other organizations supporting the call have acted as spoil sport. The response received by the organizations must have given a wakeup call to the political opportunists as the people have proved that they cannot be taken for ride any more, he said. He appealed CCI, JBA to keep the flag flying and motivate the public who have reposed their faith in their initiative for the just cause. |
