| Himachal youth among three drown | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 7: A Himachal based youth was died today due to drowning in Sidhra area while two other bodies recovered youth died due to drowning in Tawi near Sidhra area.
The deceased has been identified as drowned as Mohammad Aslam (25) son of Abdul Latif of Himachal.
Police sources said that Aslam who come here in Jammu to meet his father and today in the afternoon he went to Tawi near Sidhra along with his friends. While bathing he went to deep water and drowned. His friends tried to save him but he drowned.
After getting the information, police reached the spot and shifted body to the mortuary of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu.
After legal formalities, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
Meanwhile, body of a youth who was missing from Pallanwala area was recovered from a canal. He has been identified as Rakesh Kumar son of Dev Raj of Shakti Nagar. Police sources said that 10 days ago h went missing mysteriously.
Police also recovered a body of an unidentified man from a canal at Sikandpur falling under the jurisdiction of Bishnah police station.
The body was kept in the mortuary of the GMC&H and investigation has been started to ascertain the identity of the deceased. |
