Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 8: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party today felicitated the two youth who helped to capture a Pakistani terrorist in Udhampur. The political outfit bestowed them with its 'Panthers Bravery Award' and also gave a cash reward of Rs 21,000 each for their courage.
JKNPP chief Balwant Singh Mankotia gave the award at a function held here.
Singh said that the youth have become a source of inspiration for the entire young fraternity as he condemned the act of terror of any kind.
The JKNPP president also appealed to the state government to provide them regular jobs in police. Vikramjeet and Rakesh also briefed the media about the whole episode.
Rakesh said that he caught the militant by neck and his partner Vikramjeet snatched AK-47 rifle from the militant before overpowering him.
The militant also fired a few rounds on them but they escaped narrowly and captured him. Later, they along with other VDC members handed him to the forces.
While urging youth to come forward to fight terrorism they said that one should hold the nerves and remain calm while confronting such a situation.
