Samba, Aug 8: Training cum awareness programme for farmers under 'Kissan jagriti campaign kharif 2015' was organized in different villages of district Samba. According to press release, Deputy Project Director (ATMA), Ashok Gupta, while interacting with the farmers of village Purani Kali (Nud), Data Talab (Birpur) and Sumb to adopt scientific based technology in their field and delivered technical message to the participant regarding care and management of Maize, Seasum (Til) and pulses (Mash and Moong) crops in dry land area. Keeping in view the production and productivity of these crops, he further suggested the farmers to enhance the area under cultivation of seasum and pulses which is the need of the hour in the coming years.During his interaction with the farmers of village Hira-chak (Ramgarh) and Gudwal (Vijaypur), he educated the farmers to adopt integrated pest management techniques in Paddy Crop and Bio-pesticide technology by using Trichoderma with farm yard manure for soil application to improve fertility of the soil and moisture conservation. He also awared the farmers regarding use of vermi-compost and vermi- wash technology in their field crops, avoid use of chemical fertilizer, spray of insecticides/pesticides without knowing the ground reality of the crop. Agriculture Extension Officers, R.K Mathu, Ajay Saproo, Kuldeep Peshin and Yog Raj Singh Slathia brief the farmers of their area regarding different developmental activities of their respective zones. |
