JAMMU, Nov 12: Despite getting transferred, an influential deputy director of the CAPD has not been relieved by the Director and has been appointed as Deputy Secretary CAPD. His predecessor is posted as SDM Tral in Pulwama district. “This influential official is again being given a prize posting in the CAPD department. A report was published in Early Times on October 30 titled `Influential CAPD Deputy Director defies cabinet order’. It has been reliably learnt that the official used his good offices and managed the deputy secretary post in the CAPD. An official said it was unusual that an officer awaiting orders of posting in Div Com’s office gets deputy secretary’s post in CAPD. No higher official was available for comment.
