Impersonator stabs brother in the back, dupes JKSFC of Rs 6.85 lakh

Jammu, Mar 16: Taking the undue advantage of his visible resemblance with his elder brother, a youth from Talab Khatikan, has not only stabbed his brother in the back, but also duped state financial corporation by availing loan worth lakhs from it in the name of his brother.
The deceit was surfaced after 'debtor' slapped copy of FIR to SFC alleging there in that his younger brother after stealing his documents and taking the advantage of resemblance of faces, availed loan in his name.
The SFC was caught in catch twenty -two situation after one Mehmood Ali Khan S/o Sultan Mohd Khan r/o Ho No 482 Talab Khatikan gave a copy of FIR against his younger brother namely Liaqat Ali Khan lodged in Police Station Pirmitha in which it was alleged that his younger brother Liaqat ALI Khan had cheated SFC by providing his documents to the SFC instead of his own documents, thus impersonating as Mehmood Ali Khan.
Mehmood gave copy of FIR to SFC after he received a letter from Dy.General Manager J&K State Finance Corporation,Jammu under Ref No LBJ/SFC/890 dated 23.3.2013 for depositing an amount of Rs 6,85,096 as arrears of loan in respect of vehicle No JK0A/5057 allegedly financed by the JKSFC.
Going by the content of the FIR lodged on 6.3.16, the complainant had alleged that his younger brother namely Liaqat Ali Khan had stolen the Xerox copy of his certificates for securing the loan from the SFC and pasted his photographs and signed the application form as well as other documents/agreements etc.
Adding, neither he had signed the loan application nor he had any knowledge of the same.
He alleged that Liaqat Ali Khan had cheated SFC by providing his documents to the SFC instead of his own documents, thus impersonated as Mehmood Ali Khan in SFC.
Based on the complaint police booked Liaqat Ali u/s 380,419,467,471 RPC against FIR No 35/2016.
